FutureMinds AI Hack – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the FutureMinds AI Hack (“Hackathon”), organized by Fifty Is Nifty (“Organizer”). By registering and participating in the Hackathon, you (“Participant”) agree to abide by these terms.

2. Eligibility

  • The Hackathon is open to high school students and college students.
  • Participants can join individually or in teams (up to 5 members).
  • Employees of Fifty Is Nifty or associated sponsors are not eligible to participate.

3. Registration and Participation

  • Participants must register through the official platform before the deadline.
  • Accurate and complete information must be provided during registration.
  • Participants must work on AI-related projects aligned with the themes provided.
  • Submissions must be original and developed during the Hackathon period.

4. Code of Conduct

  • Participants must maintain professionalism, integrity, and respect towards fellow participants and judges.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behavior will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Plagiarism or use of unauthorized third-party code will lead to disqualification.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Participants retain ownership of their submissions.
  • By submitting a project, participants grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, promote, and display the submission for marketing and educational purposes.
  • If a submission includes third-party content, participants must ensure proper authorization and attribution.

6. Submission Guidelines

  • All projects must be submitted by the deadline stated on the Hackathon platform.
  • The submission must include:
    • A project description
    • Source code (if applicable)
    • A demo video or presentation (if required)
  • Late submissions will not be considered.

7. Judging Criteria and Prizes

  • Projects will be judged based on:
    • Innovation and creativity
    • Technical implementation
    • Practical impact
    • Presentation and documentation
  • Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
  • Prizes will be awarded as announced, and winners will be notified accordingly.

8. Disqualification and Termination

  • The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants who violate these terms or engage in unethical practices.
  • Any attempt to manipulate results or disrupt the Hackathon will lead to removal from the competition.

9. Liability and Disclaimer

  • The Organizer is not responsible for any technical issues, data loss, or disputes among team members.
  • The Hackathon is conducted “as-is,” with no warranties on prizes or outcomes.

10. Privacy Policy

  • Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for Hackathon-related purposes.
  • Participants agree to allow the Organizer to share their name and project details for promotional activities.

11. Changes and Amendments

  • The Organizer reserves the right to modify these terms or the Hackathon structure at any time.
  • Participants will be notified of any significant changes.

12. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction].
